MVA and cardiac patient

Saturday 25th September
• 1130 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Whakaki (near Nuhaka) to an MVA where a female sustained injuries requiring transport to Hawke’s Bay Hospital
• 1325 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pourerere to a female patient aged in her 70’s with a cardiac complaint.

A busy afternoon for the team

3 years ago - Tuesday 21st September
• 1645 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Te Mata Peak to an accident involving a paraglider – our Intensive Care Paramedic was lowered by winch to retrieve the injured paraglider, who was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1755 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a farm at Ashley Clinton in Central Hawke’s Bay to a farmer who had fallen incurring shoulder and leg injuries – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Busy Sunday for the crew

3 years ago - Sunday 19th September
• 0815 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital, with a midwife and flight nurse to retrieve a maternity patient.
• 1045 hours Awaited the arrival of a St John Ambulance for a helipad handover of a male patient, aged in his 60’s, with a cardiac complaint requiring transfer to Wellington Hospital for urgent treatment.
• 1456 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a doctor and flight Nurse to retrieve a young baby with a medical issue.

3 years ago - Saturday 18th September
• 1320 hours Flew a patient with a cardiac condition, under the supervision of a DHB Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital

Maternity patient and patient in Tiniroto

3 years ago - Monday 13th September
• 0450 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital, with a midwife and flight nurse to retrieve a maternity patient.
• 1145 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Tiniroto to meet a St John Ambulance with a female patient suffering from a stroke – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital

MVA at Raupunga

3 years ago - Saturday 11th September
• 1839 hours Tasked by Air Desk to respond to an MVA at Ruapunga. When a road ambulance arrived on scene it was determined that helicopter crew assistance was not required so the helicopter was stood down and returned to base.

Truck Accident and Wairoa Baby Transfer

3 years ago - Friday 10th September
• 1350 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a truck rollover at Devil’s Elbow (on Napier to Wairoa Road). The driver of the truck was entrapped in the vehicle and required an extended time for extrication by Fire & Emergency crew. The male patient, with multiple fractures, was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital in a serious condition.
• 2240 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa to retrieve a young baby with a medical condition.

Two Cardiac Patients

3 years ago - Thursday 9th September
• 1026 hours Awaited arrival of a St John Ambulance for helipad handover of a male patient, aged in his 30’s, suffering a heart attack and requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.
• 1630 hours At the request of DHB transferred a patient accompanied by Doctor and Flight Nurse to Napier airport for fixed wing air ambulance transport to Wellington.

RCC to Tutira

3 years ago - Wednesday 8th September
• 0945 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to respond to a beacon activation near Tutira. It was found to be accidental activation not requiring our attendance.

Cardiac Patient

3 years ago - Sunday 5th September
• 1545 hours Requested by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital, with a doctor a flight nurse to attend a 55 y/o female with a cardiac condition requiring transfer directly to Wellington Hospital.
